today we did a little site seeing and went over to the chicago nature museum. they have a butterfly exhibit containing over 2000 butterflies of 75 different species. the museum also had a reptilian display with about a dozen snakes and a few turtles. i captured a few images. another cool thing going on at this time was the photography of Robert Creamer. his prints were extraordinarily detailed scans of flowers arranged in various forms and shapes. it's actually quite interesting how he does it you should check out his site and watch the video he has up. i think i may try it out when i get back to san jose. the museum is free on thursdays so the photo exhibit was a definite plus. after that we took a little drive around town and had some the art of pizza to finish the day off.
